Downtown Hawley

Fine and Fresh Local Food
Plus, a Penchant for Land Protection!

The Victorian village of Hawley, Pennsylvania may be tiny, but it sure is mighty when it comes to supporting local farmers and protecting land along the Upper Delaware River.

A centerpiece of Hawley’s main street is The Settlers Inn, a chef-owned farm-to-table restaurant and lodge with a long tradition of working directly with local farmers. Proprietor and Chef Grant Genzlinger carries his passion out of the kitchen and into the board room as a longtime Director of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy, located a few blocks from The Inn on River Street.

The Hawley Farmers’ Market is a great place to find fresh and healthy local fruits and veggies on Friday afternoons, from 2 PM to 5:30 PM, June through October 8. Market favorites include Muller’s Vegetable Farm and Journey’s End Farm, which is protected by a conservation easement held by the Delaware Highlands Conservancy.

While you’re in the neighborhood, stop by Van Gorders’ Furniture on Route 6 to check out the latest creations by local wood artisans. Owner Scott Van Gorder is also a Board Member of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy!
