Monroe County, Pennsylvania is home to several vineyards ready to welcome you for a winery tour and a sampling of select vintages.
“Wine is food, and best served at the dinner table” is the motto of the Strohlein Family at Big Creek Vineyard in Kresgeville, on the south face of the Pocono Escarpment. The winery occasionally hosts special events and has a shop on Race Street in historic Jim Thorpe.
Cherry Valley Vineyards is the perfect place to “drink in” the Poconos at the base of the Appalachian Mountains. The Sorrenti Family offers free daily tastings. Or, treat yourself to a guided weekend tour.
