Historic Honesdale

The Bounty of Wayne County
Start at the Market

You’ll find plenty of scenic farmland and a fine selection of fresh, healthy food in Wayne County, Pennsylvania and there’s no better place than its county seat—Honesdale—for a taste of the local bounty.

Begin your journey at the Wayne County Farmers’ Market, held Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 1:30PM, Memorial Day through October, in the heart of this historic town. Here, you’ll find fruits, berries, honey and jam from The Anthill Farm; all-natural beef, pasture raised poultry and eggs from Lantzsch Farms; and lovely tasty greens and veggies from Salem Mountain Natural Vegetables. And of course, top it all off with some ice cream from Yatsonsky’s Farm!

Don’t forget to stop by Van Gorders’ Furniture while you’re in town to check out the latest creations from local wood artisans, and be sure to swing into Maude Alley, a collection of interesting shops, including Mini and Floyd, a collaborative venture by Katharine Brown of Fox Hill Farm.
